State Police Arrest Lecompte Police Chief
State Police arrest Lecompte Police Chief Mikel White and Officer Gregory Armstead.
State Police detectives say White and Armstead are accused of threatening a man and having him arrested over a loan.
White is charged with extortion, malfeasance and false imprisonment. Armstead is charged with malfeasance and false imprisonment. The incident happened last month and was captured on video tape.
The victim was eventually released and never charged for any crime.
