State Fair of Louisiana Announces New Days

(Press Release) The 110th State Fair of Louisiana is proud to announce the addition of two days this year. The Fair is scheduled to open this year on Thursday, October 27, and run through November 13. In the past the Fair has been closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. However, in an effort to allow more options for Fair goers and to provide an additional cushion for possible rain days, the management of the State Fair of Louisiana has made the decision to open on Tuesdays. This will give two additional days for Fair goers to enjoy the Fair. This year’s Fair will be a 16-day run instead of the 14-day run we have had in the past. The Fair will continue to be closed on Mondays.

Tuesdays will also be added to the list of discount days. This year, every Tuesday and Thursday will be $2.00 Days. Beginning at 3pm, parking will be $2.00 and admission will be $2.00. Carnival Rides will be $2.00 each from 12noon until 10pm. Wednesdays will be Half Price Days. Beginning at 3pm, admission will be $5.00. Carnival Ride Armbands will be $15.00 from 12noon until 10pm. Parking and admission will continue to be FREE on all weekdays (Tues – Fri) from 10am until 3pm.

All discounted tickets and armbands must be purchased in advance for this year’s Fair. They went on sale September 21st at statefairoflouisiana.com and at participating Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods. Advance Discount tickets will no longer be available after October 26th.

The hours of the 2016 State Fair will be 10am -10pm on Tuesdays Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Every Friday and Saturday the hours will be from 10am -11pm.
