Soon-To-Be Teachers Receive Practical Experience

Not all students are out of school.  Today and tomorrow, these lucky students participate in what is called Camp Carter.  It’s staffed by education majors from LSU Alexandria at Carter C. Raymond Elementary in nearby Lecompte.  These soon-to-be teachers practice what they’ve been learning in their classrooms.

The enrichment program runs again tomorrow until noon.  This is an historic elementary school in the town of Lecompte.
