Today, Smokey Bear is 69 years old. He’s long been the symbol of safety in the woods, especially in our national forests.
Today he was treated to a birthday party at a local restaurant, complete with cake. It was sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service, which depends on Smokey to help guarantee fire-free fun in the Kisatchie National Forest.
