Sidewalks on Pinecrest Drive Help Seniors

For some, something as insignificant as a sidewalk can be a big deal.

That’s what happened on Pinecrest Drive for residents of Pine Grove apartments.  Many had problems just crossing the street to get to a nearby store.  From there, the residents partnered with the state AARP office.  And the result today is a walk and roll event for the new sidewalk.

The entire complex for these residents includes the sidewalks, cross walks and a pedestrian island.  The project was funded last year, and construction started this year.
