What: Black History Month Celebration
When: Thursday, February 20, 2014; 9:30 am
Where: Pineville Senior Center, 801 Main St, Pineville, LA
Why: Senior citizens from throughout Rapides parish will gather to celebrate Black History Month at the Pineville Senior Citizens’ Center. Participants will be greeted by Ms. Juanita Vanderhoeven, Rapides Senior Citizens’ Centers Executive Director. Mr. Robert Johnson will provide the invocation which will lead into the presentation by Guest Speaker Mrs. Grace Joiner. Following Mrs. Joiner’s speech, Storyteller Sylvia Davis will complete the program by weaving a story for the audience.
Light refreshments will be served and senior centers will have displays, which focus on Black History Month.
