NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education will offer a business law preparation seminar for Louisiana State Contractors Licensing applicants. The one-day seminars will be offered one Saturday each month through May.
The seminar is a tool for individuals preparing for the business law portion of the Louisiana State Contractors Examination. The abbreviated yet in-depth seminar is for all potential state contractors (heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, general contractor, drywall, home remodeling and improvement, hazardous waste removal, mold remediation and others). The class will be based on the current edition of the NASCLA Contractors Guide, the reference used by the Louisiana State Contractors Board for the Business Law Examination. Students will receive a sample exam.
Dates are Saturdays, Feb. 21, March 21, April 18 and May 16. Each session will take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in Russell Hall Room 122 with instructor Alvin Walker. Early bird registration is $95 if paid by Feb. 15, March 15, April 12 and May 10. The regular fee is $115.
