RPSO Deputies Assist in Capture of Suspect

Clint Trampas Chaddrick mugPress Release – At approximately 9:45 am, Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from a subject stating a family member had taken a vehicle without permission from Evangeline Parish and they had followed them to a convenience store at I-49 and LA Highway 112 near Forest Hill.

Right after, Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from Pine Prairie PD Officers stating they were investigating an armed robbery of a pharmacy in Pine Prairie where a suspect, armed with a rifle, had fled in a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle at the convenience store.

Patrol Deputies immediately responded to the scene and located the vehicle but the suspect had already fled on foot.  Deputies located the rifle and secured it as they began the search for the suspect.  Patrol Deputies spotted the suspect coming out of a wooded area near the interstate and converged on him and took him into custody without further incident.

The suspect, identified as Clint Trampass Chaddrick, 43 of Ville Platte, was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center where he was booked as a Louisiana Fugitive on charges pending for Pine Prairie Police Department.  Pine Prairie PD then transported Chaddrick back to Evangeline Parish for processing.
