Rotary Club of Avoyelles Hosts 2014 Krewe of Cyllenius Mardi Gras Parade

Marksville, LA – The Members of the Rotary Club of Avoyelles are pleased to announce the tenth annual Krewe of Cyllenius Mardi Gras Parade.  This event is being held to provide a source of family entertainment for all in Avoyelles Parish and Central Louisiana, and to showcase Avoyelles’ French heritage and some of the traditions associated with the “Cajun” Culture.

The Krewe of Cyllenius Parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Marksville, Louisiana.  The parade route will be approximately 2.2 miles long. Assembly for the float line-up will be in the parking lot behind Red River Grill.

Applications for entrees are now being accepted. There is no entry fee, however, all entrants must be pre-registered. The deadline for entries is February 17, 2014.
