Rosepine Police Chief Arrested for Stalking His Wife
class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-39240″ src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Parrott-mug.jpg” alt=”Parrott-mug” width=”172″ height=”225″ />Rosepine, LA- Last month, detectives assigned to the Alexandria field office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations received a criminal complaint in reference to Rosepine Police Chief James “Dennis” Parrott. The complaint alleged 49-year-old Parrott of Rosepine stalked his estranged wife while she was at her place of work and at her home.
According to the complainant, Parrott followed his wife and a male friend back to her new residence where he obtained the license plate number of the male’s vehicle. Parrott then used the Rosepine Police Department’s computer databases to run the license plate to obtain the identity of the male friend.
The investigation confirmed that Parrott did use the police department’s database to run the license plate of her male friend. Detectives also confirmed that Parrott followed his estranged wife home from work and took photographs of her at her place of employment. Furthermore, Chief Parrott contacted his wife’s employer and requested that she be terminated
On August 06, 2014, state police detectives arrested Parrott at the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office for stalking and malfeasance in office. After posting $1,000 bond, Parrott was transported to the Beauregard Parish Jail later in the day where he was booked for stalking and malfeasance in office. Bond in Beauregard Parish was set at $15,000. The case remains under investigation.
