The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LA DOTD) announced today that, ampoule weather permitting, here construction work will begin on the LA 8, Median Cable Barrier @ LA 117 project on Monday, September 30, 2013 and will continue for approximately three (3) weeks. This project is located on LA 8 at the intersection of LA 117. This 0.6 mile long project will receive grading, cable barrier system and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, RMD Holdings LTD in the amount of $169,644.10.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be open to traffic at all times. There will be no width restrictions for oversize vehicles.
