Road Work: LA 470
The Louisiana Department of Transportation (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Tuesday, July 23, 2013, LA 470 will be closed for two days approximately 2 miles from the southern junction with US 71. The purpose of the closure is to allow for the removal of a concrete box culvert, which will be replaced with a concrete pipe. This contract was awarded to Gilchrist Construction Co., LLC for ,697,992.42.
Permit/Detour Section
Local traffic will be maintained at all times. Since both ends of LA 470 intersect US 71, traffic on LA 470 north of the closure can access US 71 by detouring to its northern junction, and traffic on LA 470 south of the closure can access US71 by detouring to its southern junction.
