LaCour has served for the past three years on the parish council. When Natchitoches Parish accepted the Home Rule Charter form of Government, LaCour ran to fill the District 2 seat. He won that election and, over the last three years, has been proudly serving his parish.

Apart from his willingness to serve, LaCour brings a personal passion to the Parish Council seat. He has lived in Natchitoches Parish almost his entire life and has a genuine desire to see the parish, and the new form of government, flourish.

“ I am running for re-election for the betterment and continued advancement of the parish. The Home Rule Charter has worked well for our area and I don’t want to see our community go backwards.”

Over the past three years, the Parish Council, along with the Parish President, have made many changes to Natchitoches Parish, including balancing the budget. LaCour is proud of the changes made in his first term, but still feels there is much work to do.

“ I want to continue to make sure our constituents have a voice in the political process. They elected us and our job is to properly represent them. That is what I will continue to do in my second term as Parish Councilman for District 2.”

LaCour is heavily involved in the community serving as co-owner for the Hospice of Natchitoches, member of the Holy Name Society and as a member, and Finance Committee chair, for St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Taking part in these organizations, and more, LaCour is in constant contact with voters. His plan for his second term is to use the knowledge he has learned, as an active citizen of Natchitoches Parish and in his first term as parish councilman, to continue to grow the parish.

“I will keep working hard for the citizens of Natchitoches Parish. I would be honored to be re-elected to serve on the Parish Council and represent District 2.”

LaCour graduated from Natchitoches Central High School and attended Northwestern State University. He is also a proud veteran, having served in the United State Marine Corp. He and his wife Sylvia Sers LaCour have two children.
