Rapides Symphony Orchestra Presents Stained Glass & Strings

RapidesSymphonyOrchestra(Alexandria, LA)  The Rapides Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Joshua Zona presents “STAINED GLASS & STRINGS” on Sunday, January 26, 2:30 p.m. in the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 626 Fourth Street in downtown Alexandria.

Strings of the RSO will perform the meditative music of Arvo Pärt’s Fratres and Peter Tchaikovsky’s delightful Serenade for Strings.  The Symphony also welcomes Italian guest pianist Loredana Lentini, who will be featured with the orchestra on J. S. Bach’s Piano Concerto in A Major. This promises to be a very special Sunday afternoon of music in the beautiful and acoustically magnificent setting of the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.

Tickets for the concert may be purchased online at rapidessymphony.org or by calling the Symphony office at (318) 442-9709, ext. 2. Tickets are: $25 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for students and $50 for a family (of two adults and up to four children). Tickets will also be available at the Cathedral one hour prior to the performance.
