Rapides Regional, State Police Offer Safety Seat Check
A free child passenger safety seat check up was offered today by state police and Rapides Regional.
Car seats and booster seats are proven to save a child’s life in the event of a car crash however 3 out of 4 child seats are not used correctly.
The mission of state police today was to properly show parents how to safely insert children into their seats.
In the past 30 years, 8,950 lives have been saved by the use of child restraints according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
