Rapides Parish Library Community Health Fair

Alexandria, Louisiana—The Rapides Parish Library will host a Community Health Fair, Saturday, April 12, 2014, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.  The event will be held at the Alexander Fulton Hotel and is sponsored by Amerigroup healthcare.  Participants will have the opportunity to talk with healthcare providers from area agencies, and Library staff will be available to share information on the latest health and wellness websites, apps, and databases. Blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and diabetes screenings will be available, as well as games and activities for children. This event is free and open to the public, and all participants will receive giveaways.
