Rapides Parish Library Black History Month Presentation

Library Alexandria, Louisiana—In honor of Black History Month, the Main Library will host “Spirituals and Their Stories”, Saturday, February 15, 2014, 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.  This is an informative presentation for children and adults featuring Gwen “Ms. Chocolate” Williams. Ms. Williams is not only a great storyteller, but an author, folklorist, and motivational speaker, as well. Come experience, through music, the struggle of slaves wanting to be free.
