The 2014 Race for the Cure will be held Saturday, October 11, in downtown Alexandria.  Participants are encouraged to register early for the race and join thousands of individuals committed to raising funds to support the fight against breast cancer.  Register before July 1 and receive an additional $5 of registration by using the discount code: CENLARACE.

Louisiana has one of the highest breast cancer mortality rates.  The funds raised by Race for the Cure participants are awarded to local organizations to provide screening, education, and treatment for uninsured women in our community.  Without the communities support and fundraising efforts hundreds of women each year would go without needed screening and support.

Register today at www.komencenla.org and help make an impact in the Central Louisiana community.  Your participation can help save a life.  Early registration at a reduced fee is open until August 31.  Registration is just the first step. The second step is to invite your friends and family to race with you and make an impact in the life of someone right here at home.
