Qualifying Ends for November Elections

ElectionsThe slates are set for the November 4th primary elections in Louisiana.

Some are re-elected without opposition, some have challengers, and others are more crowded than ever.

The former speaker of the House of Representatives is running for Alexandria and Ward Marshal. Charlie Dewitt is among five, including the incumbent, seeking the post, which reportedly pays more than 0 thousand a year.

That 5th District Congressional race has grown from 6 to 9 men, including the incumbent.

Some Rapides school board incumbents will have races on their hands.

And a prominent city council member, Harry Silver, has drawn a challenger.
