Probation & Parole Office Hold Citizens Academy
The Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole held a Citizens Academy tonight.
The academy educates the public on the mission and operations of probation and parole. It offers a fascinating look into the inner workings of an important and often over looked part of our local justice system.
Participants also heard from prominent law enforcement officials from our community’s justice system.
Our local probation and parole officers supervise almost 4,800 convicted felons in our area.
