Suspect Wanted in Boyce Burglary

On February 24th, deputies from the Boyce Sub-station responded to Kendall Lane in Boyce in reference to a burglary.

The victim advised that while she was in the hospital, her residence was burglarized and her jewelry was missing.  The case was turned over to RPSO Detectives for further investigation and their findings revealed there were three people staying at the residence while she was hospitalized.

During the investigation, suspects were identified and warrants were issued for their arrests.  Then on April 11th officers with the Alexandria Police Department had contact with 37 year-old Douglas Wayne Gilbert of Boyce, and arrested him for “Burglary of Dwelling,” and “Criminal Trespass.”

The same day, detectives located 40 year-old Allison Lee Dubois, also of Boyce.  She was also arrested for burglary and trespassing.

A warrant was also issued for a 3rd suspect, Douglas Obrian Coleman, also of Boyce, who has not been located yet. Coleman is described as a 42 year-old white male, 5’8″, weighing approximately 150 pounds.

Detectives say the investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected.  This makes Gilbert’s  64th booking into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
