Police Jury Accepts Offer from City

The months of drama and fighting may be about over when it comes to the parking lot for the Rapides Coliseum. This morning Police Jurors agreed to accept the city’s offer to sell them the space for $1.1 million with no strings attached.

The two sides were headed to court, but jurors say that’s no longer the case.

The Coliseum is poised for a taxpayer-funded multi-million-dollar renovation. The only thing in the way was the ownership of the parking lot.
