His wife’s body was found just inside the LaSalle Parish line next to a gravel pit.  Rapides Parish authorities may also be charging Worley with additional crimes.

“I want to commend all of the deputies and detectives from both LaSalle and Rapides for their investigation into this terrible crime.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary’s family and friends,” said Sheriff Scott Franklin of LaSalle Parish.

Rapides detectives are continuing their investigation into this homicide and will release more information as it becomes available.

A woman’s body is recovered Friday in LaSalle Parish.  Sheriff Scott Franklin says the 57-year-old woman found Friday is definitely a homicide victim.

She’s Mary Worley of Pineville, who had worked at the Pineville Wal-Mart.

The sheriff says her body was found lying near a gravel pit on Highway 28 East, just inside the LaSalle Parish line.  She was discovered by Rapides detectives who were told she was missing and were given a location of where to look for the body.

Sheriff Franklin says he’s still waiting for the autopsy results for an exact cause of death.

So….Someone told RPSO she was missing AND where to find the body? Waa that written right in your news report? If so, the person responsible for her cold blooded murder should be VERY easy to arrest…..wow!!

Her husband was the one who said she was headed towards Jena with a couple friends and that he came home and found her stuff on the floor. Knew her personally, she didn’t deserve this
