Pineville to Vote on Alcohol Sales

Pineville officials are making an historic vote right now when it comes to certain alcohol sales in the city.

The City got word today the Governor has signed into law legislation to allow a vote in October on restaurant sales only.

The city, home of Louisiana College, has historically been dry. But city leaders now say it’s hurting Pineville’s economic development of restaurants and hotels, especially along the Red River.

There’s sill opposition to the proposition which is expected to surface between now and October.
