Phone Scams Reported in Rapides Parish

Scammers are calling people saying they are with CLECO claiming that if you don’t pay your outstanding bill by phone, your power will be shut off.

And Pineville police say someone is demanding money for fines, but this is not how the city of Pineville does business.

As a reminder, never give out your personal information over the phone. Simply hang up and call the authorities.
