New NSU President Introduced to Students, Faculty, Staff

Doctor James Henderson is officially introduced today to students, faculty, and staff at Northwestern State University.

He was selected Tuesday after months of interviews and input from everyone affected by the appointment. He succeeds Doctor Randy Webb, who announced his retirement in April.

NSU is the undergraduate home for Henderson and his wife.

He will preside over a historic university founded in 1884 with around nine thousand students and more than 50 degree programs. The school also has facilities in Leesville and Shreveport.

Henderson officially becomes the 18th university president on January first.
