New Manufacturing Facility to Bring 1500 Jobs to Pineville

Construction on a new 2.4 billion dollar aluminum-manufacturing complex was announced last week. The plant will bring nearly 15 hundred jobs to Pineville.

American Specialty Alloys will start its first production facility for the Automotive and Aerospace Industries on the former site of the International Paper Mill off Highway 107. ASA expects to break ground later this year with a targeted completion date of all facilities in 2020.

CLEDA Vice President, Rick Ranson, says the company will serve as a magnet campus to the industry.

The facilities are expected to employ nearly 1,450 people at an average of nearly 70-thousand dollars a year plus benefits.
