Natchitoches Summer Day Camp Begins June 8

Openings Still Available for Children Age 6 – 13
NATCHITOCHES – The City of Natchitoches Recreation and Parks Program and Cane River National Heritage Area, Inc. will offer a Summer Day Camp for youth ages 6 to 13 beginning Monday, June 8, 2015. The Summer Day Camp will be held at Weaver Elementary School June 8 – July 2 and at East Natchitoches Elementary School July 6 – July 31. Spots are still available for all sessions.
The summer day camp that will offer various activities including arts and crafts, sports, life skills and academics, swimming and field trips. Breakfast and Lunch will be served. The Natchitoches Summer Day Camp will be offered in four, two-week sessions beginning June 8, 2015 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. Each session will have a different theme. The sessions are:
- June 8 – 19: Around the World and Here at Home (Weaver Elementary)
- June 22 – July 2: Under the Sea, Around the Bayou and Down the River (Weaver Elementary)
- July 6 – July 17: Time Travelers and History Sleuths (East Natchitoches Elementary)
- July 20 – July 31: The Great Outdoors: Exploring Sportsman’s Paradise (East Natchitoches Elementary)
Registration for Natchitoches Summer Day Camp is $30 per session, per child and $25 for each additional sibling. Fees are due one week prior to the enrolled session in order to hold the space. Registration is first come first serve. Natchitoches Summer Day Camp is funded by grants from International Paper and LaCapitol Federal Credit Union.
