class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-31349″ style=”margin: 4px 2px;” alt=”CityofNatchitoches” src=”” width=”225″ height=”103″ />NATCHITOCHES – The City of Natchitoches’ Recreation and Parks Department will host a coat and toy drive to benefit underserved children in the Natchitoches area.  Donations for both events are now being accepted.

The Recreation and Parks Department encourages all persons to donate gently used coats to help those who may not have winter coats in the months of November and December.  Coats of all sizes may be donated.

In addition, donations are also being accepted for “Santa’s Workshop”.  “Santa’s Workshop” ensures that children under the age of 13 will have a toy for Christmas.  Businesses, organizations and individuals are asked to help make a child’s Christmas one to remember by donating new toys to “Santa’s Workshop.”

Donations for both the coat drive and “Santa’s Workshop” can be dropped off at the MLK Recreation Center in Natchitoches Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  For more information on either event, please call (318) 357-3891.
