Natchitoches Police Arrest 2, Search for Another in Church Thefts

Natchitoches police make two arrests, but are still looking for a third person in connection with recent church burglaries.

Police say they’ve traced the break-ins and theft of religious items to Layna Jones and Daniel Ryder. Both are 42 years old.

And police are searching for 26-year-old Jess Meshell of Natchitoches.

Police say religious ceremonial artifacts were taken, including one relic, and most of them have been recovered. Anyone knowing Meshell’s whereabouts are asked to call authorities.
