Natchitoches Parish President Rick Nowlin has announced that Parish Government offices will delay opening until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, due to the inclement weather conditions forecast for the area over the next 24 hours. The Natchitoches Parish Courthouse will be open at 8:00 a.m. as regularly scheduled.
Parish employees are encouraged to pay attention to local media weather updates this evening and Wednesday morning. In the event conditions should warrant, the delayed opening may be extended beyond 10:00 a.m In either case, a notice would be issued early Wednesday morning.
Please note that the morning shift (6:00 a.m. – -10:00 a.m.) of Parish solid waste bin sites has been canceled. Due to the delayed start of work tomorrow, the Parish landfill opening will be delayed from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
All citizens are encouraged to avoid driving, if possible, and to exercise caution when crossing bridges.
