Natchitoches Homicide

The Natchitoches Police Department Detective Division’s Violent Crimes unit is currently investigating a homicide that occurred in the 700 block of Abbie Dr. The Police Department received a call of a disturbance from Mr. Ernest Lacour Jr, advising that he had a battery committed on him by a Christopher Robinson. As officers were responding to this call a second call came in from a citizen reporting that a red SUV had just crashed into a house at the intersection of Abbie Dr. & Clarence Dr. The caller advised the driver appeared to have been shot.

When Officers arrived at both scenes it was quickly determined that both were in relation to the same incident on Abbie Dr. Paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident where the victim was transported to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.??

After investigating the matter it was determined that during an altercation, 24 year old Christopher Robinson of Natchitoches, was shot one time in the chest. He drove around the corner where he crashed his vehicle into the house. Detectives arrested 20 year old Russell Remo of Natchitoches for manslaughter and placed him in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center awaiting bond.
