Natchez, LA Man Charged with Domestic Abuse

Press Release – On October 29th , 2016, deputies responded to the area of Exit 103 southbound on I-49 in reference to what was reported as a subject who was distraught walking near the roadway.  Upon arrival deputies contacted the victim who stated the suspect, Will Dillard McGrew, had committed a battery on her inside his vehicle while traveling southbound on I-49 from Natchitoches.  She was able to get away from him at Exit 103 when he stopped the vehicle.

Deputies alerted Natchitoches Parish to be on the lookout for the vehicle but it was not located.  Detectives from the Boyce Substation were assigned the case and during the course of their investigation, evidence was gathered that supported the victims original allegations.

With that, Detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant for 1 count of Domestic Abuse Battery against the suspect, McGrew.  After a possible location of McGrew was determined, Rapides Detectives contacted Natchitoches and they advised he was already in the Natchitoches Parish Jail on unrelated charges.  On November 14th , 2016, McGrew was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center from Natchitoches and booked into the jail on the active warrant.  The next day, he posted a $10,000.00 bond and was released.

Will Dillard McGrew, Jr., 49 of Natchez, LA is charged with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery.
