Motorcyclist Charged with Fourth DWI Offense on MacArthur Drive

Press Release – On September 22, around 1 am, APD officers saw a subject riding a motorcycle in the 2300 block of North MacArthur Drive. The cyclist was not wearing a helmet, as is required when riding a motorcycle in Louisiana. Officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the cyclist, and immediately noticed signs of intoxication.

The officers conducted a DWI investigation and the subject informed them he had had several alcoholic drinks. The cyclist, identified as James Rolen, 27, of Farmerville, was arrested and charged with DWI-4th Offense, Unsafe Vehicle, and Riding a Motorcycle without a Helmet.

He was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
