Motorcycle Ministry delivers Toys for Kids

On November 19, 2016, President Lee Bratton and the Olla Chapter of Circuit Riders Motorcycle Ministry gathered at the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office in Colfax, where they delivered toys for the GPSO’s Toys for Kids program.

GPSO had food and drinks prepared for the group as thanks for their efforts.

Before the meal, Deputy Edward Chelette and Sheriff Steven McCain spoke to the Circuit Riders and shared the joyful experiences both had experienced in bringing toys and smiles to these children and their families.  Sheriff McCain informed the riders that their efforts last year helped 302 Grant Parish children.  Both had words of thanks for President Bratton and his men and women.

“Like I said last year, the GPSO goes above and beyond every year for us, and it’s an honor to get to work with them and help out their parish,” said Bratton.  “This year, we added Winnfield and our hometown of Olla on the list of stops for Christmas toy deliveries, so that just means more kids we can help.  When you give them yourself and you help others, God will bless you through that.  We hope and pray that this benefit grows bigger every year.”
