A body found inside a car pulled from a Louisiana bayou over the weekend has been positively identified.
New Orleans Police say the results of an autopsy confirm the remains are those of missing teacher Terrilyn Monette.
26-year-old Monette was last seen leaving a New Orleans bar in early March.
A police diver located her car at the bottom of the bayou on Saturday. Police don’t know how Monette ended up in the water. They had searched the same area twice before but came up empty handed.
