Former Glenmora Man Accused of Rape in Boyce
April 15, 2013 – Rapides deputies say a former Glenmora resident wanted for sex crimes has been found in Minnesota and now is back here.
They say 43-year-old Corey Allen Landmark has been arrested for rape and inappropriate behavior with a child.
The complaint was filed in March, and the offenses reportedly happened in Boyce. The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint in reference to allegations of sexual criminal acts that had occurred in the Boyce area. The complainant reported information that Corey Landmark had committed multiple criminal sexual acts upon a juvenile. During the investigation, RPSO Detectives were able to establish sufficient evidence that supported the allegations. As a result, warrants were granted for Landmark’s arrest.
RPSO Sex Offender Registry detectives had also initiated an investigation on him after learning he moved from his residence at 702 Louisiana Hwy 461 in Glenmora and failed to provide them with his current address.
Detectives had reason to believe Landmark had fled Louisiana to another state. Their investigation led them to a family member’s residence in Villard, Minnesota.
On March 28th, the United States Marshals Sex Offender Investigation Branch made contact with Landmark in Minnesota where he was arrested without incident.
Landmark was later extradited by Rapides Deputies from Minnesota and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on charges of Aggravated Rape. He is currently being detained in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
This investigation is ongoing; more charges may be filed.
