On January 8th, 2015 the Sheriff’s Office Metro Division seized a little over a half pound of Crystal Methamphetamine and 4 weapons in an operation conducted at a local motel. After a several day investigation, agents served a search warrant at the Super 8 Motel and suspects 32 year-old Jason Haver of Broussard, LA and 34 year-old Courtney Loflin of Carencro, LA were found in the room with approximately half an ounce of Methamphetamine and two loaded firearms. Haver was also found in possession of suspected Xanax tablets.
Agents subsequently searched their vehicle in the parking lot and located approximately half a pound of Methamphetamine and two more firearms. Haver and Loflin were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. They both remain in jail with $17,500.00 bonds each.
“Arresting suspects from out of town is a direct result of our aggressive enforcement of the meth lab problems we encountered only two years ago” said Sheriff William Earl Hilton. “Our Metro Division will continue this aggressive enforcement to help prevent this poison from ending up in Rapides Parish communities.”
