Two city marshals involved in the shooting a 6-year-old boy have been formally indicted for murder.

A 2-count indictment is handed up by a grand jury in Marksville, charging 24-year-old Norris Greenhouse Junior and 32-year-old Derreck Stafford of murder and attempted murder for the shooting death of a 6-year-old boy and the wounding of his father.  If convicted, each man would serve a life term in prison.

They’re indicted for the shooting death on November 3rd of Jeremy Mardis and wounding his dad, Chris Few.  Greenhouse and Stafford were working for the Marksville City Marshal’s Office when they reportedly chased Few down and began pumping bullets into his SUV.

Greenhouse is out on bond, and Stafford is asking for his million-dollar bond to be reduced.
