Man Arrested for Accidentally Shooting Another

Alexandria police have arrested a 29-year-old local man for negligent homicide.

Authorities say Kendall Smith accidentally shot and killed another man at a home on Culpepper Road. Police say Smith was playing with the gun when it went off and killed 29-year-old Raymond Weston.

Authorities say this is the second time in five months a death has happened from the reckless handling of a weapon.
