Man Accused of Firearm Crimes to Remain in Federal Custody

womackhearingA man accused of firearm crimes will remain in federal custody.

In August, Catahoula deputies say they seized explosives and automatic weapons from 55-year-old Bill Wesley Womack’s home in Jonesville.

Today, he appeared before the federal magistrate, because his lawyer asked he be permitted to remain at home until his trial.

Mike Small says his client, who has spent his entire life in Jonesville, is not a flight risk. Catahoula deputies insist he booby-trapped a building on his property.

There were no injuries during the raid.
