The “Short List” is a regular series that focuses on specific information that may be pertinent to students and parents. LSU Alexandria was included in the listing of the 10 least expensive public colleges for out-of-state students, based on tuition and student fees. The figures did not include room and board, books, transportation, or other costs.
In 2012-13, the average out-of-state student attending LSU Alexandria paid ,244 in tuition and fees. LSU Alexandria was the only Louisiana school to make the short list.
“Being included in this listing is exciting,” said Dr. Paul Coreil, interim chancellor for LSU Alexandria. “We already knew we were one of the best values for Louisiana students, but to have one of the lowest tuition rates for out-of-state students as well is great. The quality of instruction that our students receive is priceless. We welcome students from other states to check out our campus and take advantage of the opportunities LSU Alexandria offers.”
