LSU AgCenter Field Day Welcomes Farmers

Farmers hear from experts on the latest techniques for yields in cotton, corn and other commodities.

Each year, the LSU AgCenter sends out its best and brightest to bring these farmers up to date on issues like breeding, hybrids, pest management and weed control.  As farmers anticipate the fall harvests, they have one eye on the fields and another on their bank accounts.

This field day started with a tour and then farmers were invited to the classrooms.

Field days are presented by LSU throughout the state, and some are geared toward specific crops for those areas.
