Louisiana Attorney General spokesman resigns after arrest

A spokesman for Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Office has resigned after being arrested for allegedly abusing his pregnant girlfriend.

30 year old Jacquez Ambers was arrested Monday and booked on charges of domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery of a pregnant woman.

The incident was reported last week at the couple’s apartment in Baton Rouge.

The victim told sheriff’s deputies that she and Ambers had got into an argument because she wanted to end their relationship.

He then put his hands around her neck and dragged her out of apartment when she tried to collect her things and leave.

And when she knocked on the door to get back in to collect her belongings, Ambers allegedly opened the door and pushed her.

The victim told investigators that she was 10 weeks pregnant.
