Rapides parish students who excel in writing essays connected to Law Day are honored at the school board meeting.
Those recognized are Nketiah Berko in first place, Breanna Carter in second, and Abena Berko coming in third. All are students in Nancy Monroe’s advanced placement English class at Bolton High. The board also honored Monroe for her teaching skills.
The Alexandria Bar Association sponsors this contest in connection with Law Day, marked on May 1st, with the help of Rebecca Beck and Vicky Powers of the school board office.
