Library Donations Delivered to Homeless Students

Library Alexandria, Louisiana — The Rapides Parish Library wants to thank everyone who donated clothes and school supplies for local homeless students. The donations added up to over 35 large boxes, which were delivered to the Rapides Parish School Board’s Homeless Student Liaison Lynda Ellington.

The Library is the main supplier of supplies, uniforms and clothes for homeless students in the area, Ellington said. Donations are collected year-round and distributed through the School Board. Talk to your local Library branch for information on how you can help make a difference.
