Body of 2 year old found in Beauregard parish

UPDATE – Sheriff Sam Craft of the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office regrets to inform the public that the search for the missing 2 year old female child from Vernon Parish has come to a tragic end.

The remains of the deceased child were located in a remote area of Beauregard Parish.

VPSO is working jointly with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, FBI, and the Louisiana State Police in the investigation into the death of this child.

Law enforcement officials are currently processing two locations in an attempt to collect evidence.

Vernon Parish – The Louisiana State Police has issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Media Advisory on behalf of the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office for a 2-year-old child reported missing from her residence on JD Williams Road in Hornbeck, LA.

The child, Willow Rain Renteria-Molina, is a 2-year-old white female with long blonde straight hair and brown eyes.  She is approximately 2’0” tall and weighs approximately 30 pounds.  A clothing description is unavailable at this time.
