Leesville Woman Accused of Felony Theft

May 2, 2013 – A Leesville woman is arrested by Alexandria police for stealing from Silver Dollar Pawn. Police say 47-year-old Tina Verrier worked at the well-known store and loaned herself money on bogus items.
On May 1st, APD was dispatched to Silver Dollar Pawn on Masonic Drive in reference to an internal theft.
Through an investigation, officer’s found that between January 11th and January 22nd, Verrier stole money through fraudulent means, loaning herself money on non-existing items.
Verrier was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. They say the amount of the fraud is still being determined.
