Lane Closures: 1-49 between LA1200 and LA8

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 7:00 AM, weather permitting, construction work will begin on I-49 between LA 1200 and LA 8. The Project will consist of grading, cold planning asphaltic concrete pavement, pavement patching, and related work. The construction is expected to last several months and alternating temporary lane closures can be expected throughout the length of the project in both the Northbound and Southbound directions.
Permit/Detour section
Local and through traffic will be maintained at all times. Therefore, there are no designated detours at this time. There will be a 14’ width restriction associated with this lane closure.
