NSU Athletics and the Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches are teaming up to host the Nov. 9 Kiwanis Kids Day event. Ticket prices for participating youth, arranged through their local Kiwanis Clubs, are $5 for youth and adults.
Participants will enjoy their own Kiwanis tailgating area, with food and drinks provided by the Natchitoches Kiwanis, an inflatable bounce house for the kids, face painting and a visit from the Vic The Demon mascot and the NSU cheerleaders. Student-athletes from Northwestern State will also interact with the kids and provide a positive leadership message, said event organizer Kyle Barnard, NSU’s athletic ticket manager.
Check-in begins at 11 a.m. in the Demon Alley Tailgating Zone. The event culminates 10 minutes before kickoff when the youth participating will take the field at Turpin Stadium to form the run-out tunnel for the Demon football team as it takes the field just before kickoff.
More information and reservations can be obtained by calling the NSU ticket office at 318-357-4268.
